Do you have a mobile app?

YES!  We released our native mobile app for both iOS and Android devices in August 2017! The primary focus of the mobile app is on Parent Communication, allowing parents a more convenient way to check their Messages, Photos, Activity Reports and Calendar events. It also sends out PUSH NOTIFICATIONS when new information is shared with parents! The mobile app is a companion app to the more robust features found in our web application, and is free to download direct from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

We recommend that staff members continue to access Montessori Compass via their web browser in order to utilize the full-featured version of MC. This can be done on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Just open your web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and login to

Does MC integrate with any third-party services?

At this time, Montessori Compass does not have an API (Application Program Interface) and does not integrate with third-party applications. We do have plans to provide integrations in the future. 

How secure is my data?

All Montessori Compass accounts are password protected for your security. This includes SSL 128-bit encryption (Secure Socket Layer) which ensures that data sent between MC and your computer is safely encrypted.  This technology is utilized by online banks and e-commerce sites to keep your financial information safe.  All data you enter into your account is saved in real-time and is backed up to multiple data centers that are monitored 24/7 by IT professionals.

What browsers and devices do you support?

MC is a web-based application that works well on most updated computers, tablets and smartphones (PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android). Please make sure your web browsers are always kept up-to-date. We support the updated versions of:
  • Chrome (Recommended)
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Edge (new Windows 10 browser)

*Please note that if you are using an older computer and out-of-date web browser, the application may not function correctly. We do not support Internet Explorer.

How do I cancel my account?

The “Account Owner” (the school staff member who activated the school’s account or is presently listed as “Account Owner”) is responsible for cancellation of the school’s recurring monthly or annual subscription to Montessori Compass. To cancel an account, the Account Owner should email with a cancellation request and cancellation date. To avoid additional recurring subscription fees, this email should be sent in advance of the next billing date. Both the next billing date and the amount due are displayed on the “School Account” page, which can be located in the upper left corner of your MC account. For security purposes, the cancellation request must be sent from the email address that is listed on the “Account Owner” profile. If you are unable to access the current Account Owner email address, please contact MC support for more information on how to update this email address. Once an account has been cancelled, MC will permanently delete all data related to account. The cancellation will take effect immediately and the account owner will not be charged again. The account will remain accessible to all users through the end of the current paid term. Per the Montessori Compass Terms of Service, there will be no refunds or credits for partial use of the service for either monthly or annual subscribers. In order to treat all customers equally, no exceptions will be made to this policy. Prior to cancellation, you are encouraged to export data related to your students and parents. Once the paid subscription period has ended, you may not export nor have continued access to the account.

Can I print or download the Scope & Sequence?

The Montessori Scope and Sequence (Infant - Age 12), mapped to the Common Core State Standards (K-6), was developed as a collaboration between Montessori Compass and The Montessori Foundation. It is licensed for exclusive use within the Montessori Compass online record keeping system. It's not currently available for print/download. However, we do have plans to make a printable version available for purchase in the future.

How do I clear my browser's cache?

Our team is always making improvements to Montessori Compass. We routinely deploy updates to the MC application, which means you are always using the most up-to-date version. Sometimes, it may be necessary to clear your browser's cache to force recently updated web pages to display properly. Each browser handles caching differently, so be sure to follow the correct steps for your browser.


  • In your browser's menu bar go to History > Show Full History > Clear Browsing Data
  • Choose the timeframe and check the items you want to clear
  • Click Clear Browsing Data


  • In your browser's menu bar go to History > Clear Recent History


  • In your browser's menu bar go to History > Clear History and Website Data
  • Choose the timeframe for which you want to clear the history
  • Click Clear History

Can payment notifications be sent to multiple emails?

No, payment notifications can only be sent to the email address listed on the Account Owner's profile.
